I AM THE LORD!

"I am the LORD, and there is no other; There is no God besides Me. I will gird you, though you have not known Me, that they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting That there is none besides Me. I am the LORD, and there is no other; I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the LORD, do all these things.' "Woe to him who strives with his Maker!" Tell and bring forth your case; Yes, let them take counsel together. Who has declared this from ancient time? Who has told it from that time? Have not I, the LORD? And there is no other God besides Me, A just God and a Savior; There is none besides Me.  "Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.  I have sworn by Myself; The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness!" -Selections from Isaiah 65

When we serve God, the ONLY LIVING and TRUE GOD, and He is our God....why do we turn aside to idols? It is absolute foolishness, as expressed in this chapter, that a man would cut down a tree, burn half of it, and form the other half into a god and worship it.  And yet often, the very things that God gives us as a blessing, we turn into idols for ourselves, worshipping the gift, rather than the Giver of all Good Gifts.

"Truly You are God, who hide Yourself, O God of Israel, the Savior!"

I love this, Paul's speech in Athens in Acts 17,"God, who made the world, and everything in it, since He is Lord of Heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands, nor is He worshipped with men's hands, as though HE needed anything, since He gives to all, life, breath, and all things.  And He has made from one blood, every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, SO THAT THEY SHOULD SEEK THE LORD, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. For in Him we live and move and have our being..."  (that was from memory, by the way, praise the Lord for Bible Bee!)

"Oh God, You are my God, earnestly I will seek You!"
Our response to the greatness of God Almighty, the I AM, should be "I will seek You, I will worship You, I will lay my life down as a living offering--that's reasonable in light of our God's greatness!
"To whom will you liken Me, and make Me equal And compare Me, that we should be alike?"

Incomparable, Inconceivable, Indescribable...that is my God!

"If my God were small enough to completely understand, He would not be Big enough to worship."

May we set Him highest in our lives, PRIORITIZE our relationship with Him, proving that what we saw is not just words, but that we believe it.  God is worth any sacrifice or struggle.  He deserves so much more than I could ever give Him. He is God.

And God says this...
"Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your; Fear not, for I am with you. Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him. I am the LORD, your Holy One, The Creator of Israel, your King."

This is something we all need to hear, because no matter where we are in our walk with God, He always deserves more!! I love the quote, "If God were small enough to understand, He wouldn't be big enough to worship!" Have you ever thought about and tried to understand the fact that God has always existed??? We can't. I am So excited that one day we will be able to understand, when every knee bows and every toungue confesses that Jesus Christ is Lord!! Thank your for your Christ-centered writing and life, Sis! You are such a blessing!!
