Talents for Christ

Today, I will be at Talents for Christ, the competition for which I have been preparing a speech and will be singing in an ensemble. Would you pray for me, at some point today? I am giving my speech at 1:00 Central Time. I am talking about Thirsting after God and how our relationship needs to be vibrant and consistent, and how we cannot be satisfied without that relationship. Also, that NOTHING ELSE can satisfy the need for God in our lives. Pray that I will have clarity, and that I will not get in the way of the message. Pray that if someone who hears me is clinging to something in this world to satisfy them, they would be spurred on to a deeper relationship with Christ. Pray that God would be clearly glorified through me and the other competitors. "O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name." Psalm 42:1-4 Hopefully later today (or tomorrow) I will have a report to give you all! And thank you for your prayers!

Praying for you, Sophie! May God be glorified through your voice (both in the speech and in singing) today. :-) Thank you for writing so passionately about your relationship with Christ on your blog. I have been encouraged even in the short time since I discovered you in "blogging-land"
Soli Deo Gloria!
