Day 25: The Birthday of a King

My grandma died of cancer in 1991...one month before the first grandchild was born.  My grandpa has now remarried, but our "real" grandma always has a special place in our hearts, especially around the holidays. At our LaFleur family Christmas later today, we will sing this song, because it was her favorite Christmas carol. I love you, Grandma. I can't wait to meet you someday!

In the little village of Bethlehem,
There lay a child one day,
And the sky was bright,
With a holy light,
O'er the place where Jesus lay.

Alleluia!
O how the angels sang!
Alleluia!
How it rang!
And the sky was bright,
With a holy light,
'Twas the birthday of a King.

Twas a humble birthplace,
But O!
How much God gave to us that day!
From the manger bed what a path has led,
What a perfect holy way.

Alleluia!
O how the angels sang!
Alleluia!
How it rang!
And the sky was bright,
With a Holy light,
'Twas the birthday of a King.

TODAY IS THE BIRTHDAY OF OUR KING! Celebrate and give Him honor! Oh, how the angels sang! Sing and make melody in your hearts to the Lord, giving thanks always to God the Father in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

How much He gave to us that day! What a PERFECT, HOLY WAY! His Way is Perfect!

Merry Christmas everyone!

I've heard a lot about your Grandma! She sounds like a godly woman who loved the Lord deeply! You picked a wonderful song for this Christmas!!
