In ten years, will I look back at this year as one of great joy? Sorrow? Achievement? Growth? Disappointments? I cannot know. But I know the One who holds the future, and life is worth the living, just because HE LIVES!
When my family was singing in the new year together, we sang "May the mind of Christ my Savior." It has become one of my favorite songs, really, a prayer from my heart to Adonai's ear. May this song be our prayer as we embark on a new year, in which He knows every detail that will take place!

This is my Grandpa's favorite song, and so it holds a special place in my heart! He's always saying that people should "forget the channel, seeing only Him," in our lives! And what he reminds us, he is faithful to live out as an example! Thanks for reminding me yet again!

We sang this one at church Sunday, and I was reminded again of the beauty and truth in the words! My favorite line is also the "channel" line!

While this type of song is not my preferred type of worship, I particularly liked the second verse. It reminds me of many different Psalms. It's a beautiful song!
