IF GOD REALLY IS

If God really is my joy

Then I will not seek the world’s pleasures,

For He fills my soul with gladness,

Freeing me from the lure of the world.

If God really is my fulfillment

Then I will not seek the approval of men,

For His pleasure is my crowning achievement,

Filling my soul with eternal benefits.

If God really is my Lord and Master

Then I will not worry or seek my own path

For His will is perfect and satisfying

Leading me beyond my imaginings.

Since God really is better than life to me

Then I will not be distracted or dismayed in this life

For He guides me, protects me, and fulfills me,

Giving me hope and assurance of eternity with Him.
